Watching MTV, the first song was Trey songs rapping. He sounded illiterate, beastly, sex craved and ravenous. They even put autotunes on his voice to make him sound terrible. The Black male was reduced to a beast and animal who cannot be tamed and therefore must be controlled for everyone's safety, even his own. The next video delved into Trey Songz the singer and sex symbol. His co-star, Gabrielle Union, was a dark brown love interest instead of the usual mulatto, free-loving mystery lady. This read to me that he may be a sex fiend, but he will settle down with a black woman- the only type he finds serious. If I were a white fan this would anger me. Now to cause alarm to the males, Trey Songz notoriously makes ugly faces when he cries (sings.) All of the camera shots were extra monstrous. The story told a tale of a King losing his Queen which equals his life. Once they are separated their powers die and they both die. The first video involving the neo-slavery movement showed the why and the next clearly demonstrated how-to eradicate the monster. By chance I wondered aloud what the third video would depict. Emphasis. The third was a black male in a hoodie and sweats breakdancing. Ironically he started on the ground and beat his chest like a gorilla, making a hideous face before slamming himself onto the ground to start pinwheels and spins like a tasmanian devil. Would I say he is crazed? No, I wouldn't because I admire very much the skill it takes to do that type of dance and the power one must harness- sometimes by imitating a powerful animal- to pull it off fluidly. Now if I was not used to that or part of the hip hop culture I may be amazed, shocked, and even put off by a display of such bestial movements. Fear not. Although I sense the good in us all I am troubled by the fear we use to lead us through life. It is my understanding that there is an attack on the black male and it is presently stronger than ever. Maybe the target is the black male for mystical reasons or maybe, imply, it is just more convenient for historical reasons. The world was convinced, as were we, that Black people were slaves without notable history or accomplishments for centuries. Dictionaries, fables, movies and song associate the adjective black as ominous, bad luck, the worst. It is easy to re-enslave the black man because we never wrote out of our minds that he was a slave. I am sure that this is only a distraction. The Black man is most useful as a scapegoat so that the true toxins of the world go as unnoticed as an undercover spy posing as a bum on the street; tattered clothes, matted hair, and even the physique of an empty stomach because he is a pro at this. If you get him to smile you may notice his good teeth
